Elite Guard Basketball was founded in 2022 to provide youth players with the opportunity to learn the game and advance their skills through personalized training programs, classes and clinics. Our mission is to develop players’ basketball and athletic abilities, as well as their confidence, resilience and leadership skills to help them grow as players, teammates, students and members of their communities.

Our private and semi-private sessions are designed to develop players’ all-around games, emphasizing fundamentals, playing on-/off-ball, facilitating an offense, post/perimeter play, individual/team defense and athletic performance.

Our Philosophy

First and foremost, basketball is a game and should be fun. This idea is at the heart of what we do— sharing our love and passion for the game with the next generation of players.

Basketball is a team game and it’s important to play and train with that in mind. We believe in playing with a team-first mindset by developing the skills to play any position on the floor and understanding how to work within a team to maximize your own game and the team’s talent as a whole. Our sessions and drills emphasize playing off-ball, moving without the ball and spacing the floor, as well as defense and rebounding.

All skills training starts with (and comes back to) fundamentals. We believe the key to consistent improvement is to develop good habits and avoid bad ones. We emphasize developing proper fundamentals and consistently reinforcing them as players expand their games.

Like all games, basketball should be played with integrity and respect, therefore, sportsmanship is required at Elite Guard Basketball. Players are expected to show respect for the game by treating all teammates, opponents, officials, coaches and themselves with respect at all times.

Basketball is not an easy game and training requires focus, resilience and a positive mindset. We emphasize playing the game with confidence in every situation and trusting that results will follow. We ask that players encourage and support one another and that every player brings their full focus to every drill, scrimmage, warmup and game to take full advantage of every opportunity to improve.

Lastly, we recognize the importance of trust in the player-coach relationship. We are committed to earning the trust of all our players by fostering a culture of encouragement and growth. We strive to get to know each player to learn how to best communicate with, teach and motivate each person as an individual.
